A beautiful handwoven sweater using the same pattern as our Mid-Weight T Sweater, but with a slightly looser and more open weave
It gives it a nice oversized fit and is incredibly soft
The color-grown cotton comes from the ground in this beautiful umber color and is from a grower who has farms in both Arizona and New Mexico. The natural color in cotton comes from natural pigments found in cotton and produces shades ranging from tan to green and brown. Naturally colored cotton is believed to have originated in the Americas around 5000 years ago in the Andes.
Garment is fully traceable from seed to sew: Cotton is grown in the U.S and spun in both Canada + the U.S. The fabric is handwoven in Southbury, Connecticut

Katie Strano weaves out of her old farmhouse in Southbury, CT, where she lives with her husband, 4 year old son + dog Runka. Katie creates the gorgeous movement and variation in the checkered sweater with a textured yarn called “slub.” She loves the idea of making a functional thing of beauty and the problem solving weaving requires.
