SHIPPING

All Domestic orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. International orders are shipped via USPS First Class International. Please be aware that you may be responsible for additional customs fees charged by your local post office upon arrival in your country. We are not liable for lost packages once they have left our studio. Because all of our garments + textiles are produced in house, we ask that you allow 2-4 weeks from date of purchase for us to ship your item(s). Hand Dyed, Woven, or Marbled items may require additional time for delivery and are stated within the item description.

RETURNS

We gladly accept returns for online purchases within 14 days of delivery. If it is outside the 14 day window, we can offer store credit for the return if it is within 4 weeks of the original delivery. We cannot honor exchanges or refunds after four weeks. Please return unworn merchandise with original tags, invoice, and packaging. Please note that if any item is returned in a condition other than how it originally left our facility, a Cleaning + Restocking Fee may be deducted from your refund or store credit amount. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. All returns must be authorized by Jamie + the Jones. Please send your return request to support@jamieandthejones.com with your order number and list of items you would like to return.

Perfect except for the zipper

I have worn the heck out of these shorts. Wash, dry, repeat. Super comfortable, giant pockets, modest length, nice drape. I got them in black, and if you were the kind of person who likes to dress shorts up (I'm not), you totally could. I'm a solid size 6 (28 in jeans), and the medium fits great.

The only reason these don't get 5 stars from me is the zipper. I think J&J could stand to use a sturdier zipper in both these and the pants. It's a struggle to get the zipper past where the waistband starts and the material thickens. On my shorts the zipper ultimately failed, and now they're in my pile of things to take to my seamstress to get the zipper replaced. Would I buy them again though? Yes, absolutely.

I have a 28-29" waist and 40" hips and bought the medium. I initially decided to return them because they were rather loose in the hips and bunched a little at the crotch - but I wore them around the house a bit and loved them too much to send them back. I think the fabric has relaxed ever so slightly because the drape doesn't bother me anymore. The elastic is not tight and sits just at my natural waist, but I could pull them down comfortably if I wanted to. I'll probably try the small if I get another pair. The best part is that even with the relaxed fit around the hips, I can sit/move freely without feeling exposed. And the pockets are excellent - deep and sturdy but not bulky.

Classy and Wearable

Classic, beautiful shorts but sizing doesn’t work for me. I initially purchased these shorts in black in size small. I have a 28.5 inch waist and find the waistband uncomfortably tight. I love the look of the shorts and tried a size medium during a sale. The mediums feel much better at the waist but are too large in the hip. If there was a S/M size I would wear only these shorts all summer long!
