Shipping + Returns

SHIPPING

All Domestic orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. International orders are shipped via USPS First Class International. Please be aware that you may be responsible for additional customs fees charged by your local post office upon arrival in your country. We are not liable for lost packages once they have left our studio. Because all of our garments + textiles are produced in house, we ask that you allow 2-4 weeks from date of purchase for us to ship your item(s). Hand Dyed, Woven, or Marbled items may require additional time for delivery and are stated within the item description.

RETURNS

We gladly accept returns for online purchases within 14 days of delivery. If it is outside the 14 day window, we can offer store credit for the return if it is within 4 weeks of the original delivery. We cannot honor exchanges or refunds after four weeks. Please return unworn merchandise with original tags, invoice, and packaging. Please note that if any item is returned in a condition other than how it originally left our facility, a Cleaning + Restocking Fee may be deducted from your refund or store credit amount. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. All returns must be authorized by Jamie + the Jones. Please send your return request to support@jamieandthejones.com with your order number and list of items you would like to return.

      • Garment is fully traceable from seed to sew: Cotton is grown and spun in Georgia. The fabric is handwoven in Madison, WI.

      About our Weaver: Amanda James

      Amanda James is running a small batch textile manufactory in Madison, WI called Thief & Moth. She learned to weave in 2007 while getting her BFA from Kansas City Art Institute and has been passionate about including handwoven fabrics in the garment industry for over a decade. Her fascination for the handloom and all of its many moving parts is unfading, and for her the joy is in the making—touching and retouching each piece of yarn, overcoming challenges, and discovering new possibilities.

    Mixed Feelings

    Initially I was excited to receive this top as I've had my eye on it for years. When i pulled it out of the package and tried it on, I was dismayed. It's ENORMOUS. I ordered an XS and it hangs like a sack on my 5.2 /130lb frame. I like the texture and color of the top and really wish it fit better, especially given the price. I am a seamstress and so think I can salvage this top by removing some of the bulk and the length from it to achieve the slightly boxy oversized look I think it is supposed to have. I'm annoyed at having to alter this so much, again given the price, but see potential in it once it fits better. I urge JatJ to consider making a smaller size or changing the sizing to be more inclusive of petite people. Yes, I did review the size chart before ordering but decided to give it a shot regardless. 1 star due to having to remake the top myself.

    Love this top!

    I got this top second hand as I wanted to try it but was scared to invest. It’s worth full price! The draping and fabric are wonderful and the weight is perfect. It does run big, but just adds to the comfort. Such a lovely, versatile piece!

    Worth it.

    I rarely take the time to ever write reviews, but I just got this sweater as an investment piece toward a simpler wardrobe, and I am in love. I got a size Medium and I am usually a small/medium in tops, or a size 6/8. The quality is unbeatable, the texture is beautiful and so warm and comfortable. It is a classic addition to a wardrobe and I am all for it hahaha. J&J impresses me with their quality!

    Lovely but a bit big

    I love the quality, the look, the fabric. Overall it is a beautiful sweater. However, I’m normally a S/M in sweaters and on recommendation I went with a small. Which fits my mother who is a size L perfectly so she is super happy...
    Maybe I will order a XS in a while :)

    Yes it's worth it

    I took a long time deliberating whether to purchase this jumper, but I'm so happy to now be an owner as it's gorgeous. The fabric is something of it's own and the fit is flattering, fun, versatile. Cosy and perfect for transeasonal weather. I'm 165cm and usually wear size M/L - I love a boxy / loose fit and went for a size M with regular length which was perfect. Now eyeing other colours in this sweater!
