All Domestic orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. International orders are shipped via USPS First Class International. Please be aware that you may be responsible for additional customs fees charged by your local post office upon arrival in your country. We are not liable for lost packages once they have left our studio. Because all of our garments + textiles are produced in house, we ask that you allow 2-4 weeks from date of purchase for us to ship your item(s). Hand Dyed, Woven, or Marbled items may require additional time for delivery and are stated within the item description.
RETURNS
We gladly accept returns for online purchases within 14 days of delivery. If it is outside the 14 day window, we can offer store credit for the return if it is within 4 weeks of the original delivery. We cannot honor exchanges or refunds after four weeks. Please return unworn merchandise with original tags, invoice, and packaging. Please note that if any item is returned in a condition other than how it originally left our facility, a Cleaning + Restocking Fee may be deducted from your refund or store credit amount. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. All returns must be authorized by Jamie + the Jones. Please send your return request to [email protected] with your order number and list of items you would like to return.

About our Weaver: Amanda James
Amanda James is running a small batch textile manufactory in Madison, WI called Thief & Moth. She learned to weave in 2007 while getting her BFA from Kansas City Art Institute and has been passionate about including handwoven fabrics in the garment industry for over a decade. Her fascination for the handloom and all of its many moving parts is unfading, and for her the joy is in the making—touching and retouching each piece of yarn, overcoming challenges, and discovering new possibilities. -

- Made of Cotton Gauze fabric that is super soft with a little structure, medium weight and incredibly easy to care for!
- An easy year round go-to piece on its own and the perfect base layer for cooler weather.
- Tailored sleeves and a loose-fitting drape.
- Features a slightly scooped neckline and gathered peplum hem.
- Hand spun, handwoven fabric.
- Dyed in small batches right here in Nashville, TN by Rin of Modus Operandi Fibers.
- Because of the hand-dyed nature of these fabrics and using natural dyes, it is completely normal for there to be variations in the color throughout the fabric. Gentle shadings and color variegations only add to the beauty of the fabrics and make them truly one-of-a-kind!
- The Indigo color is dyed with Tennessee grown Indigo. Wild Plum is dyed with Lac. Sienna is dyed with Madder and Cutch. Rose Quartz is dyed with Sumac and Madder. Jade is dyed with Myrobalan and TN grown Indigo.
- Follow our washing instructions to ensure that you are taking care of your garment for the best desired look.
- Each dress is completely unique with a gradient of organic color movement through the fabric.
- Please note that colors may vary from each dye pot, but we tried to capture the most true color of each option we carry.

Naturally dyed color will last the lifetime of the garment and beyond with proper care.
Because of the hand-dyed nature of these fabrics, it is completely normal for there to be variations in the color. The gentle shadings and color variegations only add to the beauty of the fabrics and make them truly one-of-a-kind. Follow our washing instructions to ensure that you are taking care of your garment for the best desired look.
To extend the life of the fibers and deep colors, hand wash in pH neutral soap (think any name brand “free and clear”, mild colorless detergent) and hang to dry. Naturally dyed clothing can also be machine washed in cool water and a gentle detergent. Tumble dry on low. *Avoid bleach, baking soda, and vinegar when washing*
Do not dry or store clothing in direct sunlight as this may create fading. Avoid wearing deodorant with baking soda while wearing naturally dyed clothing. Avoid contact with iron rust and strong acids like lemon juice, wine, or vinegar, which can shift or bleach natural color. If the garment comes in contact with a strong acid or alkaline substance, immediately soak the garment in cool water and pH neutral soap to neutralize the reaction. Hand wash and line dry.
Take care when spot treating stains and test an area of the fabric first. Dilute pH neutral soap in water and allow to soak on the spot before washing and drying. Multiple gentle treatments and washes may be needed for stubborn stains like oil.
Indigo dyed items may rub small amounts of blue in areas of high friction. This is called crocking, and is a normal part of wearing indigo dyed items. It does not indicate poor dye quality. This is because unlike other natural dyes, indigo forms a physical, not chemical, bond with the fibers. Great care is taken during the dye process to ensure minimal crocking during daily wear. Any blue from crocking will wash easily off your skin and other clothing.
